The Tesla Model Y features a panoramic glass roof, measuring 1,380 mm in length and 1,010 mm in width. These dimensions rank among the largest in its SUV class, offering an expansive field of view; however, as it is a fixed glass roof, it does not open for ventilation.
The panoramic sunroof is one of the Tesla Model Y's signature design elements. This oversized glass panel extends continuously from the top of the windshield all the way to the rear of the roof, spanning a total length of approximately 1.8 meters and covering the majority of the roof area in width. The glass undergoes a special tempering process to block approximately 99% of ultraviolet (UV) rays while maintaining excellent light transmission. Although the sunroof itself does not open, it is equipped with an electric sunshade to accommodate varying lighting conditions.
